And she was different after that, in a way that made the rest of you proud. She never volunteered to stay back with the ship again. She wouldn’t go on to found the Bureau of Balance for decades still, but this horrible lonely year, this is when Lucretia became Madam Director.
i’ve literally never said anything about it but the year that Lucretia “becomes Madame Director” is literally one of my favorite mini-speeches griffin/any NPC does. like all her friends are so proud of her and they’re (in my imagining of the moment) just like, “yeah, lady, you ARE that dope. you fixed our ship and stuff and you DID. THAT. you saved the whole damn thing right now.” true and good friends always know what we are capable of; they see so much more of our potential than we ever could. after all, we rarely see ourselves as others view us. and Lucretia has this power moment of, “damn, i’m pretty radical,” and her friends sit there and are just like….appreciating her greatness. so….fuck yeah.
