Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?

#kick-flip skateboard badassery  #but i will always treasure the fact that they shot it as ‘anyone wanna get off’  #and they used the footage of chris evans clearly saying ‘get off'  #and overdubbed it with ‘get out’  #presumably bc having prime beefcake cap in a room full of beefy dudes saying 'anyone wanna get off’  #had uhhhhhh a specific vibe they weren’t going for

monster factory gave us many iconic moments but one of the most underappreciated ones is the time griffin searched for his family on the sims 4 character database.

“You’re rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, my friend.” Is such a brilliant line that sounds like it came outta the cigarette addled mouth of some noir detective interrogating a slimy perp, but no, it was actually Justin McElroy admonishing his brother’s driving skills in American Truck Simulator™️ and I think it’s beautiful how we can all just say words

the amount of perfect lines that has come out of justin’s mouth…it’s statistically improbable

i’m new to the MCU but really love it. i just learned of his legacy recently, and i think it’s dope that this dude was seemingly a very cool and good man.

okay forgot to put this in my last post but Lucretia episode 65:

And over the next few days she tells you about this year that she had, her constant pursuit by the officers of this court, the marauders in these outlying villages that tried to take the ship away from her, of all these forces that constantly threatened to end her and permanently end your escape from the hunger for good. And you’ve all had difficulties on this journey, but you’ve never been alone before, not like this. You never knew that weight, and Lucretia lived with it, along with all the other challenges that this world threw at her every day for a year.
And she was different after that, in a way that made the rest of you proud. She never volunteered to stay back with the ship again. She spent less time chronicling your journey and more time participating in it. She became fierce and confident and decisive. She wouldn’t go on to found the Bureau of Balance for decades still, but this horrible lonely year, this is when Lucretia became Madam Director.

lucretia episode 65

i’ve literally never said anything about it but the year that Lucretia “becomes Madame Director” is literally one of my favorite mini-speeches griffin/any NPC does. like all her friends are so proud of her and they’re (in my imagining of the moment) just like, “yeah, lady, you ARE that dope. you fixed our ship and stuff and you DID. THAT. you saved the whole damn thing right now.” true and good friends always know what we are capable of; they see so much more of our potential than we ever could. after all, we rarely see ourselves as others view us. and Lucretia has this power moment of, “damn, i’m pretty radical,” and her friends sit there and are just like….appreciating her greatness. so….fuck yeah.

“Naw, so okay… right, so the Pizza Hut sign started to fall… cause of the weather. And he ran up there on… a fire escape? And tried to… push it? With a bat? Damnit, naw, he just pushed it… and it fell… but then he fell… cause he got shocked. I bet. I didn’t see. Mmmm. I was in–aw, shit, alright, hey fol–hey guys, rewind. I–hey guys, rewind a second. "Fear plays an interesting role in our lives. How dare we let it motivate us? How dare we let it into our decision making, into our livelihoods, into our relationships? It’s funny isnt it? we take a day a year to dress up in costume and celebrate fear."

"The three of you as one share a moment that few people in their lives ever experience. A moment of complete understanding of your life’s design; a calculation of the days you’ve lived and hardships you’ve conquered and joys you’ve received, all of which have brought you to your destiny on the deck of this ship. All of which have made you ready for this: your final battle. Let’s roll initiative!"
